Crops Grown
Blackberries - three varieties help lengthen the season
- Apache
- Ouachita
- Triple Crown
Black eyed peas
Cantaloupe
- Athena: we've gone back to the variety we started with in 1999. It has excellent flavor and weighs 4 to 6 pounds
Green Beans
- Jade: A tender, productive variety, similar to Blue Lake.
Okra
- Mammoth spineless: slightly ribbed 3-5 inch pods
Peppers - Sweet
- Funky: Bell that we grow until it reaches a mature red. Very sweet
- Lesley: We grow this variety until it matures into a beautiful sweet tasting yellow.
- Sunray: Standard Green Bell
Raspberries - staggered ripening dates should give us berries from mid-July until first frost.
Squash
- Multi-Pik yellow.
- Zucchini Elite: Medium green zucchini.
Tomatoes
- Estivia: 6 to 7 oz. Indeterminate variety (bears all season) great tomato flavor
- Valley Girl: 7 to 8 oz. Determinate variety available the first two months of the season
- BHN-624: cross between a cherry and grape tomato very sweet
- Sun Gold: small orange cherry, incredible taste, very distinctive.
